Custom Report Templates in VarSome Clinical

VarSome Clinical now lets you build report templates that match your laboratory's requirements.

Create a Template

1. From the top menu, select Reports ▸ Add New

2. Choose Germline or Somatic. Germline templates work only with germline samples, and the same applies to somatic templates.

Custom Template Builder

 In the Template Builder, you can customize the fields included in your final report. For more information on each section, you can press the  icon. 

In the Template Builder, you can configure: 

• Template Name: Identify your template at a glance. This will help you apply a report template to an analysis later.
• Sample Information Table: Select and reorder information about your sample. You can add up to 30 custom sample fields. 
• Custom Report Sections: Add up to 15 sections for methods, disclaimers, or any other text.
• Variant Information: Include primary and/or secondary findings from the Variant Information Table and associated gene information.
• Literature References: Add gene and/or variant literature citations automatically.

The template owner can copy, edit, and delete the template. However, other users cannot edit or delete templates that they did not create. Other users may copy a template but not alter the original.
